ANDREW OUT WITH A BROKEN PELVIS
Tuesday 4 August 2009, 22:30 UK
BY MIKE HUNTER
Andrew Tully visited Hospital today and received the shock news that he has broken his pelvis, which almost certainly brings his season to an end.

The crashes at Armadale on 24th July and at Wolverhampton on Monday have both probably contributed to the injury. Andrew walked in to Hospital today which amazed the medical staff, who thought he had done the impossible!

He is now on crutches and has been quoted a 12-week recovery period. He hopes to shorten that but realistically there will be nothing of the season left.

It is a major blow to a rider who in his last completed meeting smashed the track record in a match-winning display at Newport.

He said “I’m gutted – I wanted to be part of us stealing King’s Lynn’s thunder!

“Every injury seems to make me stronger so here’s hoping!”
